I have had 8 redundancies through my career so understand how devastating it can be to lose your job with little warning.

It doesn't matter how professional or committed or loyal you have been, when the spreadsheet does the numbers and you are no longer in the count, you're out.

Maybe you need to get a credible backup plan that gives you back more control of your income.

One that yes may take 3 to 6 months to build to a reasonable level around what you do now.
