Not everyone will make the cut. We don’t want or need just anyone!
Only Quality People as Les Brown says will be prepared to do what it takes to build a business like ours.
We understand the challenges, the level of persistence, the rejections, the disappointments along the way.
We also know what you get when you get through the first 6 months minimum to get to a reasonable customer base that generates a reasonable, predictable regular income.
We also recognise and appreciate the investment required (albeit largely sweat equity) and the need to reinvest profits especially in the early days on the way to a solid customer base.
On the other hand we are also totally aware of the difference between building a traditional business, as well as the alternative mental attitude and approach of being an employee and working towards someone else's goals, instead of our own.
On the subject of mental attitude here’s a quiz I came up with based on an article on this topic from an article on success.com
Enjoy
If anyone thinks that they can start up in business, and it’s all going to be plain sailing, then they are living in cloud cuckoo land!
If anyone thinks that they can start up in business, and just do whatever they feel, whenever they feel, and that will make them wealthy, again they are living in cloud cuckoo land.
If anyone thinks that they can join a business that has a proven track record, and that they can just do their own thing, ignoring the work ethic, systems and methods that have been working for over 96 years, then they will very quickly realise that their way is not the best way.
If anyone thinks that they can join a business, and miss out, or totally ignore some of the fundamentals that are at the heart of building a solid repeatable and profitable business, then they maybe should not even start out in business.
If anyone thinks that they can play at a business, and put minimal effort and time in for a minimum amount of time, then again, maybe they just aren’t cut out for building their own business!
Not everyone is capable, and not everyone is suitable, and that's just the way it is.
If everyone did want to build this, then it would be like everyone winning the lottery, what would the payout be in that eventuality?
Some will try it for a day, some for a week, some will get started one day, some will think about getting started, and only those that have a big reason why will succeed.
Having said all that this is genuinely the simplest purest and fairest form of business, that works as long as you work it.
It does take at least 3 to 6 months of persistent consistent productive activity to grow the customer base to a reasonable level, but if you work it properly you should be making around £50 a week within your first 2 or 3 weeks, and that’s just a starting point.
Once you can see how to make £50 a week, you then know how to double, triple and yes even add a zero.
Now that is not to say just that if you don’t manage that £50 a week in your first 2 or 3 weeks that you are a failure, it simply means that you haven’t done enough for long enough, and you can restart as many times as you like, as long as you don't quit trying!
Therefore use that £50 a week income, as a goal, as an incentive and keep going until you hit that or smash that.
If the results in terms of actual orders. aren’t showing in the early days, temporarily switch focus to activity, and how many you are getting out each day, each week. Also track how many people are looking, compared to not looking. How many people are returning them, etc. Watch that grow and eventually the orders will also come. You will have to persist and persevere though. Have the mindset of persisting until it happens, and you will succeed. You can’t fail with that mindset at anything.
Think of how tough it was when you were learning to walk , talk, drive etc but you didn’t give up on that (maybe some did quit the driving for some I suppose).
The key thing is don’t be a quitter, and make every effort to associate with those that have cracked it, and wish to help you crack it. These will be individuals that have a vested interest in your success, so they will help you (if you qualify for their time by what you do!). Remember though, they can’t want it for you more than you want yourself. They have their own goals, targets and challenges etc. But they will help you if you ask them. They are not your boss though, and that’s both a blessing and a curse.
That’s the way this thing works, for those that work it.
The rest can just keep doing what they do, and getting what they get.
For me it’s best to have some control, a backup plan that works until it grows to an escape plan.
But use it to escape, only when the timing is right though!
Don’t give up the day job too soon.
Check for real progress, real results and exponential growth, consistent and persistent.
It will take time, effort and persistence, but it will be worth it.
There is truly no limit here, only our own.
The only real limit is your imagination!
The best thing with our opportunity is, it can become your vehicle for being the best that you can be, and you are free to experiment, practise and develop yourself, as much or as little as you like.
You choose who you work with, and you can help and support as many people as you like, and show them to copy what you do, once what you are doing is worth copying of course.
Until you have your own proven methods though, use what has been handed down to you that already has a proven set of results and the evidence to match.
